In this degree concentration, you will study a set of core disciplines as well as a selection of elective courses. As a graduate of the M.Eng. Multidisciplinary Engineering concentration, you may find employment in various specialized fields, depending on your prior engineering experience and education and the specific graduate-level concentration options you choose.

The M.Eng. Multidisciplinary Engineering program focuses on enhancing essential technical skills and professional development, while a traditional Master of Science degree emphasizes research or a thorough understanding of a specific research area. This comprehensive program is tailored for practicing engineers who wish to attend classes in the evenings and on a part-time basis. This format allows engineers to pursue a graduate-level education without disrupting their work commitments.

The program consists of 30 credit hours:  

  • 9 credits of M.Eng Core Courses  
  • ENGR 5311 – Professional Communication & Information Management – 3 credits  
  • ENGR 5312 – Engineering Project Planning & Management – 3 credits  
  • ENGR 5314 – Advanced Engineering Mathematics – 3 credits (or) CSE 5500 – Algorithms – 3 credits  
  • 18 credits of Engineering Courses  
  • 3-credit M.Eng. Capstone Project (ENGR 5315)  

Note: This 100% online M.Eng. concentration is not eligible for UConn visa sponsorship.
